OK. I've been following the messages concerning this resort for a week now. I'm still not convinced that it is such a good deal that the risks are worth it - and I am a true bargain hunter. If the price is under $2,000, it is possible to find resorts in the US or Europe that should trade as well and are priced favorably through organizations such as Holiday Timeshares that specialize in foreclosures. I know that for $1,500 I can get a week at a 5 star resort in Austria that will trade extremely well due to limited availability - and I've been there to verify the quality. Dikoholo is not even a RID through RCI. You can log onto the RCI directory as a South African member and find out alot about the resort as well as the other resorts in the area. The facility has some amenities, but it is definiitley somewhat rustic. I'm sure the attraction is the game preserve. There are also other resorts in the area that have game preserves or are next to one and appear to have better amenities. The prices listed on the Timeshare Tribune ( a SA timeshare internet classified site) for these other resorts are not much different from the Dikoholo resort. Seems like all the interest in this one resort by Tuggers will drive the prices up. The bottom line is that, yes, this probably is a good buy today, but it is not the only good buy out there. And who knows for how long it will look like a good buy?
