Spent a 3 day escape at this resort which is centrally located within an hour from everything on Interstate 81. The Ingleside resort is in transition. New owners took over in 1995 and they are in the process of upgrading all the units. We stayed in a unit that was about a month old, a one bedroom beautifully decorated 205. It is popular for many Virginia locals where weddings and conventions are held. It is situated on a beautiful golf course which is pretty reasonable maybe 40 dollars on the weekend. They are doing plenty of constuction as the facilities are over 70 years old. There is a brand new indoor pool and jacuzzi and an excellent gym. The bowling alley was out of service. There were no scheduled activities as I was told they were in the process of hiring a new director. We ate at the restaurant for Sunday Brunch, the food was fine. There is also a Bogey's golf pub that serves drinks and food. This resort is suited for couples or golfers and is a nice pit stop to do sightseeing and touring at the many other tourist spots. I drove to the Massenutten property which is about 45 minutes out to see my unit for next spring my next visit there.. We drove to Natural Bridge a small town which has everything from Caverns to a Safari to a zoo and a wax museum.

I don't reccomend this resort for an exchange at this time if you have good trader check out the other neighboring resorts.

In about 2 years when everything is complete this property will be an excellent exchange The staff was super nice. I'll give this resort a 6 because of my beautiful unit but many of the units are still being refurbished and are not the same quality. I would not go back because I have two small children 6, 8. This is ideal for senior citizens looking for a quiet retreat.
