2/17/04 - Date of Visit: 7/03 Mu sister and I took our children to this resort during the summer
of 2003. We enjoyed the island but the "resort" was very
unimpressive. The accomodations are sketchy and they billed us for
small convienences--tennis rackets, cribs, phone use etc. We will
not return to this resort. We give it a 2!
5/21/01 - Date of Visit: 6/99 We have been to this facility two times, the last being in June of
1999. It is one of our "home" resorts for MRI and we get a one
bedroom with no fees except our yearly dues. Check-in has really
been no problem, people are friendly and the unit is clean. The bed
situation is really poor however - a full bed in a very narrow
bedroom (the whole unit makes one think you are in a trailer)- and
cannot comfortably accomodate 2 people. My husband has given up and
sleeps on the hide-a-bed couch in the living room. The pool is very
nice and one of the largest in the area and the beach is wide and
great for walking and shelling. We mostly go down to play golf, walk
the beach and veg-out so this has met our needs, plus we can drive
here and it is a free place for us to hang out. That being said, I
would not consider it a real resort per se, if it wasn't free lodging
for us we probably wouldn't consider going back. I'd rate it about a
5 on a scale of 1-10.
1/11/01 - Date of Visit: 8/6/00 The unit didn't have many features. Its only claim to fame is a nice
balcony and close to beach. The kitchen was impossibly tiny although
billed as a 4 person unit. There was a bedroom with a terrible bed
(mattress "floated") and there were bunk beds in the hall. The
halls smelled like moldy towels. Staff was fine- no check-in
problems. We went there because that was where Spinnaker placed us
for the sale tour. We wouldn't go back. We would rate it somewhere
around 2.5.
3/18/95-- We stayed at the HH beach and Tennis resort
and we would never stay there again. We stayed on what they call Admirals
Row and would rate this place a mid-class resort. It is not on a plantation
for one thing, and the accomodations were medicore at best. The beach location
was not bad; that was the only plus.
