IMPORTANT NOTE FROM TUG MEMBER STEVE WILLIAMS: Just wanted to inform you that if you see any timeshares for sale from BODIE ISLAND BEACH CLUB, Nags Head, NC please be careful. The resort has been banned from RCI exchanges and closed for use because lack of funds on 1 AUG 04. They are in the middle of a probable hostile takeover by a company called Sea Wray, Inc. The owner is trying to buy up all the timeshares and holds voting majority on all board issues and is probably trying to buy all the units and turn the timeshare into a condo. Just wanted to let you know that if anyone buys a unit there, it will probably be worthless in less than a year.

Located at milepost 17 in Nags Head, the BIBC is a no frills well located oceanfront timeshare. Consisting of approximately 30 two bedroom units, this timeshare will appeal to those who do not need or wish to be pampered at the resort. The units are sparsley furnished and minimally staffed with supplies but the oceanfront views(18 are direct oceanfront) and on beach location make the lack of amenties tolerable. The staff seems grudgingly helpful but there is little in the way of the GC or RID anmenties which one may have come to expect. Although the office hours claim to be 9-5 on all days but Sunday, it was rare that I saw the office staff available. I thought that the resort cleanliness left something to be desired and I believe that with a minimal attempt at performing the basic maintenance and upkeep this resort could be a must stay for those who love the beach as I do.
