We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. The master bedroom had a double bed, tv, window wall overlooking the beautiful Assawoman Bay, bathroom with shower/tub combination. The second bedroom was a lockout with 2 double beds, a tv, and another full bath. There was a sofa bed in the living room and a balcony. The view is awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed but was nothing fancy. The same could be said of the whole apartment--it was obviously not brand new, was not huge or equipped with luxury furnishings, but had basic necessities for a comfortable vacation.

Nothing was broken but there was a burnt out lightbulb that was replaced promptly after we called. We didn't use the pool. There is a dock in the back that can be used for fishing, feeding seagulls, crabbing, but the water is no more than 2-3 feet deep at high tide so you couldn't bring much of a boat here. The overall condition of the property was just OK. We own at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and this is not in that ball park.

The location within O.C. was great--central to everything. There is a bus that runs up and down the island all day long for $1 you can ride all day, and it stops 1/2 block away. There is a large amusement park, water park, miniature golf, and go carts right next door that my kids loved. The walk to the beach was further than we like--3 blocks and across the main road.

There were no planned activites offered.

We just returned from our vacation at the BayClub. We stayed in a 3 bedroom lockout unit. The unit was clean but it had a few maintenance issues. Closet doors were off track, some screens needed to be replaced, it only had 2 tv's and one did not work. We called maintenance and they fixed it but it only lasted for one day. The pool is really not heated. It is a nice size pool but it was pretty cold. The beach was across the street. If you have kids, find a place on the ocean side. It is really dangerous crossing Coastal Hwy. I would recommend Ocean Time or the Waves before the Bay Club. I would go back only if I could not trade into one of the others. On the positive side, the view of the Bay was really good and the unit was large but not as large as the Waves. I like the layout of the Waves better.

I rate the Bay Club a 5. It is an average resort. It has a standard kitchen, no resort activities which is common for OC, it is close to area attractions. It loses points because of lack of supplies like trash can liners and paper products. If it was on the Ocean side maybe I would rate it higher.

4/7/97 - We have just come back from a two week vacation at the Bay Club at Ocean City Maryland. We had a two bedroom week one and a three bedroom week two. The units were nicely furnished and the three bedroom was better equipped with dishes etc. There seems to be a new trend in timesharing where trash bags and toilet tissue are only being supplied for day one and the guest must buy his own after that. This was the case at the Bay Club and also the Colony at Virginia Beach. These were places we traded into rather than own. Our units both had a beautiful bay view and we were 2 blocks from the beach. The building was across the street from an Amusment park and could be too noisy during the season but was not so when we were there in March. They have a large clean heated indoor pool and hot tub. The pool was heated enough for swimming unlike several other indoor pools too cold for my family to swim in. There was a small grocery store within walking distance to the unit.
