While not a gold star resort, the facilities were more than adequate...more like a hotel room. The room was large enough, came with TV and refrigerator. Cleaning service was daily and very good. No cooking facilities in the unit, but there is a central facility with numerous refrigeraors, stoves, etc. There are also barbecue facilties available. Plenty of available utilities. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The resort is located in Edgartown, one of about six villages on the island. Plenty of good restaurants, shopping, etc. although a bit on the pricey side.

Only drawback to the resort is a lack of convenient parking. You can stop to unload, but then park your car about 5 blocks away. We only used it once to meet friends in another village for dinner. Local, inexpensive bus service is available (free to seniors) for transportation around the island.

4/26/97 - Went to harborside for our anniversery and was very disappointed. The island is beautiful in the fall when we went and the inn is nice except for a few major things. Our room was very small. And we were right across the street from a bar that kept us up every night until about 1 AM. We were not the only ones that were complaining about the noise but it seems that nothing can be done. On the last night we were there the police even showed up to break up a few fights right under our window!!! I loved the island but would never stay at that resort again!!!!!!!!!!!
I own three timeshare units at the Harborside Inn on Martha's Vineyard. It is the only timeshares on the island. I have been using them for 11 years. It a great location with the exception of parking [1/4 mile away] and the rooms are small with small refrig but you don't spend much time there anyway. The number for reservations is 508-627-4321
