Recently Tom sent me some examples of trades he could get with his new purchase. Granted, he deposited 2 1/2 weeks before the use date, so his power could have been diminished. Who REALLY knows RCI's policy on resorts with a waiting list, anyway? I compared the trades he said he could get with those of my RID red 1 BR ski week in Colorado. I could get exactly what he said. The only thing I didn't get was a 3 BR at an English resort. Then a person on the International board said s/he got a confirmation at that resort. I asked that person if it was by chance a 3 BR. It was. That's probably why I could no longer pull it up. I thought I had seen that one a couple of days earlier. WeI paid $4000 for our ski week. We thought it was a good deal. Maintenance is $336. Again, not wonderful, but not bad, we thought. Weeks at our resort during prime ski season don't last long in the RCI system either. Apparently many times there are people waiting over a year in advance for those precious "spring break" or President's Weekend weeks. So they go quickly. If he's getting the same trades as we can get, his resort has at *least* the trading power of ours (our week was deposited a year in advance). And getting his week for less than half the purchase price *and* 1/3 of the m/f. Certainly worth looking at. JHHO.
